Ziplock bags

I was going to write this last weekend, but forgot when I started posting book & movie reviews. I got new socks a couple of weeks ago, and they came in a zip lock bag. This isn't the first time I've gotten new socks in a zip lock, but I can't figure out why they feel the need to put them in zip lock bags instead of just sealing them. Then I read the fine print on the bag and found that Hanes is owned by Sara Lee, so maybe some executive at Sara Lee decided that socks were food that needed to be kept fresh.

Caught up on a couple of more Oscar nominated movies this weekend, Good Night and Good Luck and Transamerica. Both were really good, with Good Night and Good Luck being really relevant to today even though it happened in the 50's. I think Felicity Huffan should get the award for best actress.
